Nikhitha P S: BI WEEKLY REPORT - School Internship Phase

WEEK -1

Our second phase school internship journey started on 12 june,2024.We the 6 members from Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram opted C. A. M. H. S, Salempuram for our second phase teaching practice. We started our new journey with lot of hopes. As the first day of teaching practice we met school H.M in charge Mrs. Jannet and she gave general advices. Then I met my corresponding Biology teacher. She gave proper instructions about my new class, students, periods and topics to teach and got my lesson plan signed.

On Wednesday (12/06/2024), as per timetable I have no period. But i got substitution on my class. Since it was the first day, I got to know the children and reviewed what they learned in the class last year. And gives an introduction about the new chapter also given. It was a smooth day for me. On Thursday (13/06/2024),there is an assembly for the awareness class conducted by CHC in the school against rabies. As per timetable i have no class. But i got substitution on my class at 5th period. So I began the chapter and teach the topic " Compound Microscope and its Parts". I teach the topic with the help of a compound microscope and students were more attentive during the class. On Friday (14/06/2024) same as the last day I have no period. But i got substition on 4th hour. So I take the practical class on topic " Preparation of Observation Material ". Students were enthusiastically do their practicals and clarify their doubts. Saturday (15/06/2024) was also a working day. June 15 is celebrated as international day for old age. So there is a special assembly. HM gives message about importance of the day. And students take a pledge on the assembly. As per time table i have class on 7th period. So i teach the topic " Discovery of cell and nucleus". After the class i gave notes to students and clarify their doubts and also check their knowledge by asking review questions. This week is a good and nice week for me.

WEEK - 2

On tueday (18/06/2024),I reached the school on time. I had class on 8th standard on sixth period. I took the portion "Milesstones in the history of Cell Biology".There is special assembly was held to remaind about the programme to be held on reading day celebration.In eighth period I got substitution in same class. So I gave notes and rest time I interact with students. On wedneday (19/06/2024), the school organized reading day celebration and officially inagurated malayalam club vidyarengam kalasahithya vedi. Mr. Sundharashan puthoor, a poet, film lyricist officially ingaurated the programme. Conduct many cultural activites also. The highlight of the programme was a dance performance "Chandalabhikshuki" by IX standard students. The programme ended on 12.30 pm. In afternoon there were classes as per time table. I had no period so the rest of the time I prepared for my future lessons. On thursday (20/06/2024), As usual I had discipline duty. I got substitution on class 8 in last period. So I took the portion " Cell Theory and Functions of Cell". On Friday (21/06/2024) we reached school on time. There was morning assembly. We get the students into the ground in well disciplined manner. After that class began at 10 am. I had no period today, but I got substitution on class 8. I taught the topic 'Structure of plant Cell and its parts'. On Afternoon I got another substitution on the same class. So I took another portion " Cell Organelles " later cleared the doubts of students about the portions taught. On Saturday day (22/06/2024),I reached school at 9.20 am. After the prayer class began at 10 am. I had no period on class 8. But I got a substitution. So I took the portion "protoplasm and cytoplasm. And also I got anothe substitution and i took " Stages of Development". This week was so good.
