" Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best "

WEEK - 8

After a short break our teaching practice restarted on 8/01/2024. We reached school at 9.15 am. After met headmistress I signed the attendence register and attend morning assembly. After the assembly I met my concerned teached and got my lesson plan signed. As per the time table I had 5th period in standard 8. I teach topic " Different modes of Reproduction ".On tuesday (9/1/2024), as per time table i had no period. But I got substitution on standard 8. So I taught the topic ' Reproductive part of a Flower '. I had discipline duty today. On wednesday (10/1/2024),i had no assigned class, but I got substitution in standard 8. So teach the topic 'Fertilization '. And on last period I get duty on pt period. So I went with students to school ground. 11/1/2024, as per time table I had no period but I got substitution on 1st period and 6th period . So I teach topic ' Male Reproductive system' & ' Sperm '.. On 12 Januvary , Friday as usual i had discipline duty and I had assigned class at standard 8.I teach the topic 'Female Reproductive System '. The week was good for me. All most everything went well according to my lesson plan.

Morning Assembly

WEEK - 9

Monday (15/1/2024) was holiday for Pathanamthitta district due to makaravilaku. On tuesday(16/1/24) as usual i reached school at 9.20 am. I had no period. But i got substitution on class 8 in 5 th period. I taught topic " ovum ". And rest of the time was free. On wednesday (17/1/24) as per timetable i had no period but i got substitution on 6 th period. I taught the topic "menstruation". Students ask doubts and i clarified the doubts. A conscientization programme on "Biodiversity Depletion"is conducted to standard VIII students as a part of BE.d curriculum. The programme sought to raise awareness among VIII standard students about the importance of biodiversity conservation. The students were well attentive and interactive throughout the session.As usual there is discipline duty for me. On afternoon session i conduct achievement test. On thursday (18/1/24) i reached school at 9.15 am. We conducted a yoga class for students in morning 9.15 to 10 . We taught them some yoga positions and explained it benefits. After prayer class began at 10 am. I got substitution on 4th hour,so I taught the topic " if fertization occurs".In the afternoon, an awarness class on adolescence was held at school. We make necessary arrangements for the class. The class began at 2 pm.The speaker was Mrs.Annie Mathew ( motivational speaker and writer) retarded teacher of St. Stephen's HSS, Pathanapuram. The class was excellent. Class ended at 3.30 pm. On friday (19/1/24) was sports day and our last day of teaching practice phase 1. We got duties on sports day. We done it well. After that there is a sent off party was given to us. We shared our teaching experience and teachers shares there opinions about us and give instructions and blessed us. There was a nice experience to me. The school, teachers, students was so good. Iam very much thanked to god for giving me such a wonderful experience. Those teaching practice days was so beautiful and memorable.
